BingerTime

Terms of Use

Last updated : 31 August 2026

BingerTime lets you track your series, films, games and books, and talk about them with your friends. Creating an account means accepting these terms. They come down to one simple idea: the service exists so that people who know each other can talk about the things they watch and read — not to go after anyone.

Your account

You must be 13 or older, provide a valid email address, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for whatever is posted from your account.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile: deletion is immediate, permanent, and takes all of your data with it.

What you post

The comments you write on titles and your private messages belong to you. You keep ownership of them; you only allow us to store them and show them to the people they are meant for, so that the service can work.

Comments are not public: they are visible only to your friends and to friends of your friends. Private messages are visible only to the person you are writing to.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

Offensive content and abusive behaviour are not tolerated, without exception. The following are forbidden in particular:

  • harassment, insults, threats and intimidation;
  • hateful or discriminatory speech, in particular based on origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability;
  • sexual content, especially anything involving minors;
  • glorifying violence or inciting illegal acts;
  • impersonation, spam and unsolicited advertising;
  • posting someone else’s personal data without their consent.

Filtering, reporting, blocking and moderation

Comments and messages go through an automatic filter when posted: text containing insults or hate speech is refused and never published.

Every comment and every message can be reported, and every account can be blocked, directly from the app. Content you report disappears from your view straight away.

We review reports and remove content that breaches these terms within 24 hours. Content reported by several people is hidden automatically while it awaits that review.

Blocking an account cuts off every exchange in both directions: their comments become invisible to you, their messages no longer reach you, they can no longer find you or add you, and any friendship is suspended — it is given back to you if you unblock them. You can see and undo your blocks from your profile. A block is reported to us straight away, along with the content behind it, exactly like a report.

An account behind objectionable content may be suspended, without notice, and permanently in the event of a serious breach.

Premium

Some features are reserved for Premium accounts. Depending on the platform, the subscription is bought through the App Store, Google Play or our website. Billing, renewal and cancellation are handled by the store you bought it from.

Catalogue data

Title pages, posters and artwork come from TMDB (series and films), IGDB (games) and Google Books (books). They remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Availability and liability

BingerTime is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. We do our best to preserve your data, without being able to guarantee that nothing will ever go wrong: your data can be exported at any time from your profile.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. If a change is significant, you will be told about it in the app or by email.
